The Lockwood Foundation was created by Jeffrey Lockwood in Jan 2018 because he wanted to combine his two passions - helping children and people with disabilities, and sharing the great outdoors with others. Jeffrey is a professional mountain guide and is the owner and lead guide of Lockwood Backcountry Guide Service. In addition to being a mountain guide, he has been a special needs and disability caregiver since 2012. He grew up in a low-income, single parent household, so he is also invested in seeing that underprivileged youth get the opportunity to explore and enjoy the outdoors in a healthy, safe environment. Involved in nonprofits for years, Jeffrey was uniquely qualified to create a community organization that was geared toward the accessibility of outdoor adventure.

The Lockwood Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is focused on creating accessibility to adventure. Our mission is to help underprivileged children and people with disabilities enjoy and explore the outdoors through creative event planning, volunteerism, and charitable contributions.
